You may notice multiple transmissions in addition to the "manual' or "automatic" options in our vehicle selector at fcpeuro.com. Transmissions may vary by specific model, or engine, and may go through renditions, or even change manufacturer through model years.
A common example of this is the BMW E46 3-series. Pictured below is the fitment selector for a 2002 BMW 325i where there are two different automatic transmissions used in that car. There is a ZF and a GM-manufactured transmission, and selecting the wrong one may show incorrect parts.
Generally, the manufacturer and part number of the transmission will be stamped on a plate on the underside of the vehicle. Otherwise, you can reach out to our technical team to decode your VIN.
