It's completely normal to receive brake rotors with minor scuffs or scratches on the zinc-coated surface. During shipping and handling, the protective coating can become lightly marked or rubbed, and unfortunately, this isn't something we can entirely prevent.
These marks are purely cosmetic and do not affect the performance, safety, or corrosion protection of the rotors. Once the rotors are installed, the first few braking applications will naturally remove the coating from the braking surface as part of normal operation.
However, if you believe the rotors have sustained damage beyond normal cosmetic wear—such as deep gouges, cracks, bent surfaces, or anything that would make them unsafe to install—please let us know. We'd be happy to review photos of the rotors and determine whether a replacement is warranted.
